We use sign-making grade corian at a thickness of 6mm or 12mm.

The corian plaques can be cut to any size.

They are hard wearing, weatherproof and virtually maintenance free.

Corian is a mixture of clear acrylic resin, natural minerals and pigments. The mineral content retains some of the properties of real stone such as the cold feel, matt finish and substantial weight. Unlike stone Corian is totally consistant with no variation in composition, fault lines or cracks throughout its features.

It also can be cut to most simple shapes and can be used where small text or detailed images are required.

Sizes and Prices
Prices include 30 characters. Extra letters £4.00 per 30, Letters are sized to fit the plaque. Letters are then paint filled with black, grey, cream, white, silver, gold or blue.

Prices are listed below but for larger signs email us for a quote. We would also need to quote when large areas of corian are to be engraved away to leave raised letters.

Letters
The letters are engraved using one of the our many fontsStandard colours for painted letters are white, black, Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone (light grey), Farrow & Ball Lichen (light green). We have a number of other stock colours @ £5, along with memorial gold or silver @ £10. Memorial gold looks very similar to gold leaf.

You choose the plaque dimensions and we will size the letters accordingly.

Images
We can include a simple images on the plaque. We have a selection of standard images CLICK HERE - the cost for one of these is £12.50. (under 100mm)

If you want us to use you own artwork it must be a clean silhouette style image (no fine lines or shading) sent as jpg, giff, tiff or png file There is a £34.50 artwork charge.

If you can send your artwork in as an AI or vectorised EPS file for a PC created on Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw we can reduce the artwork charge to £24.50.

Wooden Backing Boards
We can supply wooden backing boards for the 6mm corian, if required. They are usually made in Oak. However we do have Sapele (similar to mahogany) and Iroko (similar to teak). If you want a specific timber, please state on order form. When finding the price of a backing board you will need to add about 1 " 25mm to the size of the brass. eg  plaque 4" x 6" will need a backing board 5" x 7".
