Oak posts are available in several sizes 2" x 2", 2.5" x 2.5", 3" x 3" and 4" x 4". These are planed down, shaped and cut to length. Finally, they are treated with Osmo Oil or Long Life Satin Varnish to show the beauty of the oak.
Alternatively we can paint hardwood posts white, grey or black in our long life paint. Other stock colours are available too.

All the brackets above have as standard, hooks on the bracket and rings for the sign. In very windy locations we are able to supply inline rings on the bracket as well along with two black quicklinks to join the bracket to the rings - extra cost £6.20
Hanging House Signs with Wooden Frames - Double Sided
Aluminium Composite Board - Vinyl Lettering
We can create your hanging house sign using tough aluminium composite and surround it with an oak frame.
The frame can be treated with a long life satin varnish to see the natural beauty of the oak or we can paint it black, grey or white. We then fix the two hanging rings to the top to hang from the bracket.
Black, white and cream are the most popular colours for the board, but we also have red, yellow, blue and green.
The letters can be any colour, gold looks very classic on black. We can also use silver/white reflective lettering which really stands out in car headlights, but this is a little more expensive. Another option we can quote you for is a full colour printed panel both sides.
Tricoya Board - Painted Lettering
This is a traditional looking hanging framed sign with painted lettering.
The frame is made from harwood but the inner panel from a new board known as Tricoya. It is a wood based board made with a high performance resin. This makes it very strong, durable, stable and completely weather proof. The tricoya board has a 50-year guarantee!
The sign is then spray painted using a special two component paint which is much tougher and longer lasting than standard brush on paints. Three coats are applied for a really good finish. Finally, the lettering is painted on.
The standard paint colours are White, Black and Grey. However, we have a good selection of other Paint Colours in stock.
The Wrought Iron Brackets go well with these hanging signs.
Normally the whole sign is painted in one colour with the lettering in another colour. Extra colours - £15 for most signs. Also, in the case if the frame and background colour are different.
Double Sided Painted Signs
The prices shown on painted signs are for a double sided hanging sign. The cost of these includes up to 50 letters.

Wooden Hanging House Signs
Double sided wooden hanging house signs can be made in Oak, Iroko or Cedar.
Oak is very beautiful and durable, but it will need to be maintained, or it will blacken over time. We usually treat with a commercial satin varnish but Osmo oill is another option.
Cedar is also a lovely timber, it is lighter weight and has the advantage that it is full of its own oil so can even be left untreated weathering to a silver grey. It is not as hard as oak, so you would not use it in a situation prone to vandalism.
Iroko similar to teak is another timber full of oil which can also be left untreated.
The fittings shown come with a post and arm.
Thw double sided Hanging Signs includes a total of 12 letters (both sides)- add £1.10 for each extra letter.
