These lovely stone memorial tablets are made from thick honed slate or thick polished granite.
We have 20mm, 30mm, 50mm & 75mm slate plus four colours in granite at various thicknesses.
The slate is a natural slate with all its beautiful markings. They look perfect set into a lawn or garden. Edges are clean cut and honed
The granite is has a polish top and sides. However we can sand off the polished top to creat a honed matt finish if your churchyard insists.

We keep the following granites in stock and all colours are available in 20 mm & 30 mm rectangles.
Ovals, Hearts & 50 mm thick are available in Celtic Grey, Green and plain Black.
Other colours are available in Cut To Size 30 mm

Lakeland Green slate
Our standard granite memorial tablet prices also include Lakeland Green slate, a beautiful British stone quarried in the Lake District. Exceptionally dense and durable, it is almost as hard as granite and has a smooth, finely honed finish that is often preferred by churches and churchyards.
As a UK-sourced material, Lakeland Green slate is a more environmentally responsible choice.
Lettering
We can sandblast the lettering in a variety of fonts - click here. If you prefer to have letters painted it is best to choose one of the bolder fonts. Lots of choice with paint colours too with black, white, gold and silver being the most popular.
We can paint images in more than one colours. Cost £15 per extra colour.

We can include images on the signs. Choose bold images - we can't sand-blast very fine lines. Small standard images under 100mm £12.50, Medium Standard images 100-200mm £18, Large Standard Image 200-300mm £24, Images over 300mm £28.00. For own images add artwork charge of £19.50 for vector images and £29.50 for other images. Must be simple silhouette type images for the sand blasting. However it is possible to laser etch fine detail onto slate or impact engrave onto dark granite - this can even include a good quality photo - ask for a quote. More Image Information

What sizes are available?
We offer a range of standard sizes, but because every memorial is made to order we can also produce bespoke sizes to suit your requirements.

Yes. You can choose from a wide selection of traditional and contemporary fonts. Our design team can also help recommend a lettering style that best suits your memorial.
Is the lettering painted?
Most engraved lettering is paint-filled to improve visibility and create an attractive finish. We offer several paint colours, with white, gold and silver being popular choices depending on the stone selected.
Will I receive a proof before the memorial is made?
Yes. We provide a design proof for your approval before production begins, allowing you to check all wording, layout and design details.
How long will a slate or granite memorial tablet last?
Both slate and granite are among the most durable natural stones available. With normal outdoor exposure, a professionally engraved memorial tablet can last for many decades.
Can the memorial tablet be fixed to an existing base or wall?
Yes. We can supply memorial tablets with or without fixing holes, depending on how they will be installed. We can also advise on suitable fixing methods.
