Our bespoke memorials are created for customers looking for something a little different from a traditional memorial plaque. Every memorial can be personalised to create a fitting and lasting tribute to a much-loved person or pet.
Depending on the design, memorials can be made from materials including natural stone, slate, granite, Corian, bronze, brass, stainless steel, cast iron, polyurethane and hardwoods. Lettering can be engraved, carved, cast or printed, with options for motifs, photographs, emblems, crests and other personalised artwork.
Because these memorials are often highly personal, many are made completely to order. If you have an idea, photograph, sketch or simply know the type of tribute you would like to create, our experienced team will be happy to discuss the possibilities and help develop a suitable design.
Bronze Memorials
Very Long Lasting Memorial Plaques.
Bronze is renowned for its exceptional strength, hardness, and resistance to corrosion. Cast bronze plaques can endure the elements for centuries, ensuring that the memory of loved ones lasts for generations. Its distinctive, warm, and classic appearance makes bronze a timeless and elegant choice for memorial plaques.
While computers are used to create the pattern for casting, the actual casting process follows techniques that date back to the Bronze Age. We have standard fonts and colours, but we can fully customise your memorial plaque just the way you want it.
War Memorials
We can make a war memorial in any of the materials we use. The cast bronze is superb, very long lasting but the most expensive. For smaller plaques, the hand paint zinc with raised letters is somewhat similar, again very long-lasting and very effective. Brass plaques are still very popular, with the 3 mm option being the most appropriate. Engraved stone-like corian is more often used than stone itself as we can engrave with more detail than is possible with real stone. New to the scene of war memorials are the engraved wooden tablets. The plaque in the image was made from Cast Polyurethane.
Heart Shaped Memorials
Heart shaped memorials and memorial plaques can be made in black or grey granite, cast bronze and aluminium, oak or iroko wood and corian in any one of the stone colours.
There are a number of standard sizes and the corian or wood can be cut to any size.
Wood or metal stakes are also available.
Woodland, Photo-Slot, Bamboo & Painted Wood Ashes Caskets
Woodland Ashes Caskets - Substancial wooden caskets individually made by our carpenters using wooden dowels. Ideal for green burial grounds - no metal used.
Photo Slot Oak Caskets - Made from high-quality solid oak, it includes a photo slot on the front. The top can be personalised with laser engraving or a plaque.
Bamboo Casket - Good value simple ashes caskets in four sizes for loved ones or pets. Crafted from sustainable, fast-growing bamboo, this is an eco-friendly casket.
Painted Wood Caskets - Made from wood based Tricoya which is exceptionally durable. We can also make these painted ash caskets to order in any size.
Memorial Wedges - Granite & Slate
Our slate and granite plinths and wedges are great value for money. Crafted to have a sloping effect (measuring 50 mm at the front and 100 mm at the back), these pieces can be designed with engraved lettering or a mounted plaque.
If you decide on a plaque it can be crafted in Corian, Brass or Bronze, all of which pair up well with the stone plinths and wedges. Our bespoke memorial wedges are available in a variety of standard sizes.
ToughPrint Memorials
These plaques are ideal for full-colour memorials with rich, vibrant colours. They resist fading, moisture, abrasion, scratches, acid, and harsh weather, including seaside conditions. Made from 3mm aluminum and fully encapsulated using a heat process, they have a high-quality, graffiti-resistant finish.
Text can be included on the plaque or they can simply be a photo which is to be mounted on another material or just as it is.
Stone-Like Corian Crosses
Stone-like Corian is a wonderful material. Unique in many ways despite it's similarities to Stone, many choose Corian for its vibrant colours and stand-out appearance. Others choose Corian based on the fact that though it is more expensive, it is longer lasting than many other materials. Its main advantage over stone is that the text can be much smaller, and detailed images can be included.
Corian also requires little to no maintenance throughout its life, which is a definite perk if you're looking for a straight forward memorial. You can purchase Stone-Like Corian Crosses (both standard and Celtic crosses) in four different colours.
The memorial crosses are used as grave markers or permanent memorials.

Choosing the perfect memorial can be challenging at the best of times, but we understand that decisions surrounding the memorial of a child must be particularly difficult. Cast Iron Memorial
Our traditional cast iron memorials are individually made to order, creating a substantial and timeless tribute for a loved one or pet. Each plaque is produced for us by a small specialist foundry using traditional casting methods. Wording, shape and layout can be personalised to suit your requirements.
