This wooden notice board is divided into two sections. The cork-backed display area is protected by an oak-framed Perspex door fitted with a rubber seal to help keep out moisture and protect the notices inside.

Alongside this, a painted information panel finished in black with gold lettering provides clear and attractive permanent details. This bespoke oak notice board was handcrafted to order and cost just over £800 plus VAT.

Our wooden notice boards are individually made to order by our skilled on-site carpenters. Each board is carefully crafted to suit your exact requirements, whether for a village notice board, park information display, school entrance or business premises.

We work with a selection of high-quality timbers chosen for their strength, durability and natural beauty. Oak notice boards can be finished with a hard-wearing commercial satin varnish for a traditional appearance and long life outdoors. Iroko notice boards are treated with Devon Oil to enhance the natural grain and provide excellent weather resistance.

We can also produce painted hardwood notice boards, offering a more colourful and decorative option while still maintaining the strength of solid timber construction.

Because every notice board is made in our workshop, sizes and designs can be customised to suit your project. Our carpenters take great care with every detail to ensure a well-made product that will last for many years.

Can you make a wooden notice board to my size?

Yes. We make each notice board to order in our North Devon workshops. If you’re unsure what size you need, tell us how many notices you want to display and what size they are. We can help you work out the display area.

What types of wood can I choose?

Choose from oak with a commercial satin varnish, iroko treated with Devon Oil to bring out the natural grain, or painted hardwood if you’d like a coloured finish.

Are your wooden notice boards suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. We make them for outdoor settings such as village greens, churchyards, schools, parks and business entrances. The doors have rubber seals to help keep moisture out, and an optional weather bar provides extra shelter above the display.

What backing options are available?

Choose a cork backing for pinning up notices or a magnetic stainless steel backing so you can hold notices in place with magnets.

Can the notice board have a lockable door?

Yes. We can make your notice board with lockable doors so authorised users can change the notices. We use stainless steel fittings for the hinges, catches and locks.

Can you supply matching posts or a header panel?

Yes. We can supply matching timber posts and add a shaped header for your village, school, church or business name. We can also make a separate information panel for details
