Wooden Entrance Signs with Posts

Wooden entrance signs on posts are ideal for the end of your drive. As always, we have lots of choices. Firstly, you can choose between a natural wood with painted carved letters, or a painted entrance sign in a lovely range of colours. There are also four types of post top to choose from. For a natural wood we usually use oak or Iroko. Oak is a heavy durable hardwood and is very beautiful, but Iroko, also a hardwood, is easier to maintain and costs less.
Most of our painted signs are made in the hardwood, Sapele, but we can use Oak or Red Grandis. Oak is the heaviest and very durable, Sapele is a lighter weight but still a durable hardwood. Softwood is considerably cheaper post option. There are different post options which can be used on any of them.
Another option is Tricoya. The board is a wood-based board made using a high-performance resin. It is very stable, strong, durable and weatherproof.
Standard sizes are list below but we can quote for other sizes
Natural Oak Entrance Signs are first treated with a wood preservative and then varnished with a tough satin finish commercial varnish.
Signs with white lettering are treated with Osmo Oil. Iroko signs are treated with Devon oil.

For Painted Entrance Signs we use is a two component polyurethane paint which is much more durable than standard brush on paints. It is not only much tougher and longer lasting, but is also more resilient to chemicals.
Standard colours are black and white. We also have a light grey (Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone) and a pale green (Farrow & Ball Lichen) as standard. We have a vast range of stock colour such as cream, heritage green and F&B Stiffkey Blue, French Grey amongst others at an extra £5 per order. See all our Stock Colours.
For any other colours we don't stock the cost is £55 per colour per order. We can match most Farrow & Ball colours.
