Words For Your Memorial Plaque...
Memorial Inscriptions and
Remembrance Poems
There are no strict rules about what to write on a memorial plaque—it’s entirely up to you. Finding the right words can be difficult, so we’ve compiled a selection of inscriptions and remembrance poems that our customers have used on their memorials. We hope these examples will help you express your thoughts and emotions in a meaningful way.
For those who prefer a more traditional approach, we’ve also included classic etiquette and time-honoured phrasing commonly used on memorial plaques.
Our hearts are broken, but the beautiful memories will never disappear.
We thank you for all the love, support and wisdom you showed to us.
You can now sleep peacefully with no more pain and distress.
Dad we will love and cherish you forever.
We have so many wonderful memories of the times we shared together.
You cared for us all so much and were always there to help.
You taught us well, and told us to look to the future,
but most of all to be happy.
We love and miss you terribly,
but you will always have a special place in our hearts and minds.
Dad you were my inspiration and guided me through life.
You were a tower of strength especially if times got tough.
You are gone now Dad, but will never ever be forgotten.
One day we will meet again, I promise you.
With every passing day
The longing just to see you
Will never go away.
We miss you more each day
For life is not the same to us
Since you were called away.
by the way they are lived
- not by going on for ever and ever
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard but always near,
Still loved, still missed and with us here.
I will be right here
Sitting with you
'I play the notes as they are written,
but it is God who makes the music.'
In death we love you still,
In our hearts you hold a place,
that no one could ever fill.
Together Once More And Never To Part
In death we love you still,
In our hearts you hold a place,
that no one could ever fill.
and heartaches make a lane
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you home again"
My Daddy My Hero
This world has many hero's you'd know them most by name, It's apparent that they gave their best and deserve their fame.
But among all of the hero's this world has ever had, there's not one that I admire more and that's my precious dad.
He was more than just a hero, he never looked for praise, he was heroic in his quiet strength and his caring ways.
He may not have been famous as those you hear about or see, but he was everything and so much more a hero ought to be.
He kept his word, it's was as good as gold on this you could depend, and I'm proud to call him my daddy and my best friend.
When I hear about a hero and the special things they've done, it reminds me of my dad for he was the greatest one.
