In the last few years, it has become increasingly popular to include a photo on a memorial plaque. Seeing the person or a pet on the plaque certainly makes the plaque extra special.
On this page, we have listed the various options available to you. All are designed to be used outdoors or indoors. The full-colour options are resistant to fading, but you can extend their lifespan even more by placing them out of the strongest sunlight.
The etched memorials do not fade, so they could be the best option in certain situations. The impact engraving into dark granite using a diamond-tipped needle also will not fade

Anoprinted Aluminium Plaques & Memorials
This process locks the photograph and wording inside the hard anodised layer. This makes the plaque very tough and durable, completely waterproof, as well as being resistant to fading. The background colours for the plaque are silver or gold. These plaques can be used either as a complete memorial plaque or inserted into a wooden, Corian or slate memorial
ToughPrint Memorial Plaques
These plaques are ideal for full-color memorials with rich, vibrant colors. They resist fading, moisture, abrasion, scratches, acid, and harsh weather, including seaside conditions. Made from 3mm aluminum and fully encapsulated using a heat process, they have a high-quality, graffiti-resistant finish.
Text can be included on the plaque or they can simply be a photo which is to be mounted on another material or just as it is.
Etched Stainless Steel
These are superb quality memorials where a black and white photo is chemically etched into the stainless steel along with the lettering. The result is excellent and it has the added advantage that unlike many of the printed photo plaque - IT WILL NOT FADE.
The better the quality of the photo the better the result. Our designers can convert a colour photo into a black & white photo and we can remove backgrounds too.
Porcelain Plaques
Made from vitreous porcelain these plaques provide a permanent outdoor memorial using ceramic pigments which are fade resistant. The black and white or sepia plaques look very effective. Available in a several standard size these can be produced with the photo going right to the perimeter or have the edge feathering to white.
They can be sold alone or inset into another material such as corian, wood, slate or granite.
Tree Stakes and Plaque Holders
We offer a wide range of tree stakes to suit your needs. Our selection includes simple wrought iron tree stakes, wrought iron stakes with attached metal plates, tree stakes with two spikes, and modern angle iron stakes with security pins for mounting into concrete. Additionally, we can provide wooden tree stakes and posts, as well as wrought iron plaque holders for larger memorial plaques.
Smaller Highly Polished Black Granite Memorials
We have a range of 10mm black granite tablets with polished tops and sides. These are ideal when the larger memorials would not be appropriate. They can be attached to a wrought iron tree stake. Sizes up to 300 x 225 mm are available.
The smallest - 100 mm round or square, can be used in combination with other materials. For example an engraved granite photo could be used in a slate or wood memorial tablet.
Good photos can be impact engraved directly into the granite.
Corian with Photo Inset
Stone-like Corian is a stand-out material perfect for engraved memorial plaques. Durable, fade-proof, and virtually maintenance-free, Corian offers numerous benefits.
Corian is available in various sizes and colours, allowing you to personalise a tribute less traditionally too. Any of our photo plaques can be inserted into the corian. The combination of engraving and photos is perfect.
Black Aluminium Photo Memorial
Images can be laser engraved onto the black anodised aluminium. This is another option for a black-and-white photo on a plaque. It's not as good as the chemically etched above, but it's quite a bit cheaper. Our designers can convert colour to black-and-white.
Photo Laser Etched Into Slate Memorial Plaque
A good quality photo can be laser etched into the surface of any of our slate memorials and memorial plaques. The better the quality the photo the better the result will be. The photo can be used as it is or the background can be removed.
Wooden Plaques
Our designers can convert a photo into an etched line drawing that we can use on a wooden plaque. This technique works best on photos that were taken at a high resolution and have good contrast.
Our technicians will create a line drawing from the photograph suitable for laser etching into the wood. Unwanted backgrounds can be removed. The image is then ready to be laser etched into the wood.
