Signs with posts can be erected by simple digging holes & back filling or we do have a range of metal post holders.
Wooden Ladder Signs
Wooden ladder signs are ideal for use as entrance signs, especially when listing more than one property, such as where several houses share a drive or at the entrance of a business park. s standard they can have one, two, three or even four signs in various sizes.
We offer a variety of choices in timber, sizes, and the number of signs on the posts. These signs can be painted in tough commercial two-pack paint, treated with high gloss coach enamel, satin varnished, or oiled. As always, other variations can be quoted for.

T-Channel Entrance Signs & Directional Arrows
These are simply made using aluminium composite and aluminium channel. They look very smart and are ideal for smaller entrance signs. Full-colour artwork can be used. They are laminated for longer life. Good Value.
Entrance Signs with Engraved Corian Insert
These superior entrance signs are beautifully crafted. The posts and the inner panel are solid oak. These can be left looking like natural oak by treating them with a tough satin finish varnish. Alternatively, they can be painted. The paint is a very hard-wearing polyurethane paint, which is mixed with a hardener before spraying. A recess is carved into the oak, and a corian plaque is neatly inserted into it. The posts, panel and lettering look superb if all painted the same colour
Industrial Estate Signage
With our workshops onsite we can combine materials and skills. With this entrance sign we have a timber outer frame which can be oak or Iroko. The inner part is made from aluminium and is bolted to the timber frame. It has removable aluminium panels which can be slide in and out. These signs are ideal for an industrial estate situated in the countryside.
We can make to any size but we have listed some of our standard sizes. The timber can be varnished Oak or the hardwood Iroko which we oil using Devon Oil.
Stone Boulders
A stone boulder must be the most low-maintenance entrance sign you can have. At the moment, we have black and Celtic grey granite boulders along with Purbeck stone boulders. They both have one flat face for the lettering. They can be partly buried, fixed onto a plinth or built into a wall. Lots of fonts and colours for the lettering
Oak Framed Entrance Signs
These wooden-framed signs are beautiful entrance signs for large houses, farms, or businesses. Using a combination of traditional oak with modern aluminium composite, we have created an elegant sign to grace any entrance.
There are four standard sizes, but as always, we make them to any size and can use other materials for the panels. They are also available blank for other sign makers.
Aluminium Tray Sign on Posts
Aluminium tray sign on square aluminium posts 50mm x 50mm. Available in any RAL colour. Can be single or double sided. Very smart entrance signs for commercial or domestic properties.
These can be made to almost any size and are powder coated to most RAL colours. Very impressive low maintenance signs.

Aluminium Signage for Posts
This signage is ideal for business signs. It is made with solid aluminium sign board but with channels fitted on the reverse. They can be supplied with fixings to attach to round posts, square posts, farm gates or other tubing.
Aluminium posts can also be supplied in grey or matching colours. Fixing clips supplied.
Hockey Stick Verge Signs
A simple but effective house sign can be buried into the grass verge at your property entrance. These are normally made from very long-lasting painted tricoya board, which is 18mm thick and cut into the shape of a hockey stick.
Alternatively, verge signs can be made from strips of oak that our carpenters bend and laminate together. The text is then sand-carved and painted.
Double Sided Aluminium Signs on Posts
First impressions are so important and these top quality aluminium signs on posts will certainly give your business an edge. Lots of panel choices, colours and post sizes to suit your needs. The panels have sleeves attached, which slide over the matching aluminium posts makings the fixings almost invisible.
Posts for Granite and Slate Signs
Large granite and slate signs are heavy and if you want to fix them to posts it is advisable to provide extra support. This can be done with a support bar under the stone or by insetting the sign into the posts itself. The sign with support bar can be sent assembled.
Wooden Post with Arm for Hanging Signs
These entrance signs can be made with oak, iroko, sapele, or softwood and are ideal for hanging wooden, framed or metal signs. They are available in natural wood, oiled, varnished, or painted in a many colours. The posts are usually 8 or 9 feet high, and the arm is made to suit the sign.
Oak & Metal Posts With Hanging Arms
More in our range of hanging posts and arms. The metal posts are made from steel and wrought iron, galvanised and then painted - usually black but we have other colours. Oak is usually for the shaped Exmoor Post but other timbers can be used including painted hardwood. Both of these hanging posts will suit many of our signs.

Ideal for the end of a drive or at the entrance to your home, they are available in various standard sizes or made to order. They can be mortised or front fixed, with options for post tops.
Clear Glass Like Acrylic Signage
These contemporary signs are typically used at business entrances to provide professional and welcoming signage, offering a clean, minimalist aesthetic while effectively communicating essential business information. Suitable for modern buildings, the vinyl is applied to the reverse of the clear acrylic panel and can be frosted, translucent, solid-colour, or full-colour print. Additionally, they can be mounted with stainless steel effect or painted posts.
Posts for Signs Wooden, Steel and Aluminium
This page features a selection of posts, but our carpenters and blacksmiths can create custom designs to meet your specific needs. We primarily use oak and iroko for wooden posts. Oak is a beautiful, strong, and long-lasting timber, while iroko, similar to teak, is rich in natural oils, requiring less maintenance. For painted wooden posts, we use sapele, the most stable hardwood. Additionally, we offer a range of metal posts, including handcrafted steel and standard round aluminum.
PAINTED WOODEN SIGN - FRAME EDGED
Very attractive entrance signs made from the long lasting wood based board - Tricoya and the stable hardwood - Sapele. They are available with or without posts, in any of our huge range of colour for the sign colour and the lettering colour. Dispatched fully assembled. These are made using the wood based board - Tricoya. It is an amazing wood based board which is exceptionally durable and perfect for painting in any one of our paint colours. The addition of the frame edge somehow turns a fairly basic sign into something quite special. The posts are painted hardwood.
Fibreglass Signs
Fibreglass is very strong and ideal for commercial entrance signage. It is best to use cut vinyl lettering on the sign, as opposed to printed, as it has a far greater lifespan. Many shapes and sizes are available. Can be supplied with channels for fixings to metal posts. Available in any RAL colour.
Cast Polyurethane
Cast polyurethane with raised lettering and logos is ideal for street signs and entrance signs. Being one of the toughest and most abrasion resistant materials around, it can cope with roadside pollution, salt spray, severe weather conditions and it even resists chemical attack
Painted Sign Boards
The board used for these painted signs is Tricoya - a wood based board made using a high performance resin. It is very stable, strong, durable and weatherproof

Post Holders
Entrance signs can be erected by simply digging holes and backfilling. Alternatively, you could use our post holders for signs on wooden posts. We have post holders with spikes that can be hammered in with a sledgehammer, bolt-down post holders for fixing onto existing concrete, and concrete-in post holders for exposed areas.
We advise against concreting your sign directly into the ground.
