Two Tone Engraved Corian Plaques
These engraved plaques look very smart indeed and could be used as a special commemorative plaque or really elegant house sign. They are made using two pieces of corian. The wording is engraved in the 6mm corian which is then inset into a 12mm corian black-plate. Not only does this make for a very effective engraved plaque but it also enables the fixings to be completely hidden. These engraved plaques can be cut to any simple shape at no extra cost. However you do need to allow an 25mm all around for it to be cut from. |

Corian has the appearance and some of the properties of real stone being quite heavy with a matt finish and cold feel. This is because it does contain natural minerals which are mixed with resin and pigment. It is a perfect material for long lasting engraved plaques being fade proof, weather proof and almost maintenance free. The lettering can be engraved in any of our fonts and painted filled black, grey, cream, white, silver, gold, red, green or blue. Use the Sign Design Tool to help with size and layout. |

Fixing your engraved plaque - There are various ways to fix this type of plaque. In most cases we have attached the inner plaque to the back-plate and run it through the sander for a completely smooth finish. Standard Holes - We then drilled the holes if required £3.50. Screw caps can also be supplied if required- click here Hidden countersunk holes - With this method the plaque is supplied in two parts. The countersunk holes are drilled into the back-plate. The inner plaque has exterior grade double sided tape applied. Once the back-plate has been fixed, the inner plaque can be inset. Cost £3.50. Fixing Bolts If you wanted to fix the plaque to a tree stake we are able to embed stainless steel inserts into the back of corian and supply fixing bolts. £14.50 |
